Here are three family-friendly ways to enjoy the Wrightwood snow that doesn’t involve buying a lift ticket for kids.
Wrightwood’s snowy mountains are known for their world-class ski slopes, but skiing and snowboarding aren’t for everyone. Sometimes, there are many different ways to have fun in the wintery weather for families with younger children. To help, we wanted to point out three of our favorite family-friendly activities to enjoy Wrightwood in the snow at any age. This way, your stay at Wrightwood Bed and Breakfast can feature enjoyment for everyone.
Sledding and Tubing in the Wrightwood Snow
If you’re torn between some of the family wanting to enjoy the skiing and others not, going to resorts like Mt. High can be a great idea to enjoy Wrightwood in the snow. The slopes are an excellent option for the older crowd, but snow play areas are suited for younger kids. Sledding, tubing, snow angels, and more are all available at the exact locations where you can go snowboarding on the same day.
Beyond snow play areas at Mt. High and other resorts, there are also some dedicated areas in Wrightwood for tubing and sledding. Get in touch & we can provide a list of some of our favorites.
Go for a Walk in the Snow at Wrightwood’s Best Trails
We’ve talked about hiking in the summer and warmer months, but that doesn’t need to remain in a single season. The nature walks and hiking options in Wrightwood are beautiful in the snow. If you want to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Wrightwood and the mountains without spending top dollar at a ski resort, hiking at locations like Big Pines and the Blue Ridge Trail provides family-friendly walking experiences without too much hassle.
If you’re planning on hiking in the winter, you might want to keep safer. First, of course, make sure you know the wisest ways you and your family can get through the trails, but the rewards are worth the effort.
Wrightwood’s Town Is Beautiful All Year Round
You don’t have to stick to snow-based activities in Wrightwood to take advantage of your stay here. We have a beautiful village with some excellent options for everyone. All year round, Wrightwood Village is worth exploring.
If you’re looking for a distraction for older kids, Wrightwood features a historical museum, great restaurants, and some lovely places to shop. Plus, there are parks and playgrounds to let young ones run around nearby as well. So really, there is something for everyone in a quaint little village.
